Financing Smaller Businesses with an International Footprint

US Capital Partners specializes in engineering innovative and efficient financing solutions for small to lower middle market US companies with non-US operations and subsidiaries.

According to PricewaterhouseCoopers’ latest Trendsetter survey, 86% of private companies expect positive revenue growth over the next 12 months. Companies doing business in international markets once again remain ahead of their domestic-only peers in revenue growth and spending projections. According to the survey, businesses that don’t sell outside the US forecasted revenue growth of 6.9%, whereas companies that sell internationally projected 9.7% growth. For companies selling in China, India, and Brazil, the growth rate was 11.3%.

The Challenges of Funding Operations Abroad

Getting suitable financing abroad, however, is increasingly difficult for small to lower middle market business. In the UK, for instance, there is a “huge shortfall" in the level of funding available to business owners. Fewer than one in ten small companies applying for finance over the past year succeeded in gaining the amount they applied for. In the Euro zone, securing business financing is even more challenging.

Some US businesses have subsidiaries abroad, for which they may struggle to find suitable funding. More commonly, they may simply have trade receivables and other assets abroad. In some cases, the parent company itself may be situated outside the US, with operations or subsidiaries located within the US. In all such cases, US Capital Partners, LLC is able to structure and fund optimal financing to help your business grow.
